2007-08 OCAA MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR - JASMIN CULL

Fourth-year men's volleyball player Jasmin Cull from Ancaster, Ont., turned in one of the most dominant seasons in OCAA history along side his Mohawk Mountaineers teammates.

Cull led his team on a mission to rewrite the OCAA record book erasing five individual or team records this season, including destroying the single season service aces record by 27 points. The all-time career aces leader also tied an OCAA single game record with 12 aces in a match against Fanshawe. Cull led all OCAA men's volleyball players in scoring.

Leading his Mountaineers team to their first CCAA national bronze medal and their second OCAA championship title in three years, Cull was named the CCAA national men's volleyball player of the year, an honour not won by an Ontario volleyball player since 1998.

He was also named the OCAA men's volleyball player of the year and a CCAA all-Canadian, both for the second consecutive year. Cull was also named a CCAA championship tournament all-star, OCAA tournament MVP, and OCAA first-team all-star. Mohawk College named Cull its men's volleyball team MVP and most outstanding male athlete.
