Men's Athlete of the Week – Mario Orestano, Humber Indoor Soccer

Mario Orestano was named the Championship MVP as he led the Humber Hawks to their eighth OCAA Men's Indoor Soccer gold in the last 10 years. The Toronto Native was one of the Hawks most consistent performers over the course of the Championship and scored the insurance goal in the Hawks 3-0 win over Sheridan in the gold medal game. The first year Civil Engineering student was also a member of the Humber Hawks Soccer team this past fall.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Keyla Moreno, Humber Indoor Soccer

Keyla Moreno was named the Championship MVP as she helped the Humber Hawks win the OCAA Women's Soccer Championship gold medal. Moreno scored a goal in the Championship final as the Hawks defeated the defending Champions from Fanshawe 2-0. This caps off a successful campaign for Moreno as she was also the Central West Scoring Champion and the Central West/West Rookie of the Year during the Women's Soccer season this past fall helping the Hawks to OCAA Gold and CCAA Bronze.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Charly Spurr, Algonquin Basketball

The OCAA Player of the Year took his dominate play to the national level as he was named a First Team CCAA Championship All-star helping guide the Algonquin Thunder to a Bronze Medal at the CN 2009 CCAA Men's Basketball National Championship. In the Bronze medal final against the host UNBC, Spurr put up 30 points leading the Thunder to a 116-105 victory and the first medal by an OCAA school at the CCAA Men's Basketball Championship since 2006.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Hali Burns, Sheridan Basketball

Hali Burns' stellar play at the CCAA Women's National Basketball Championship helped lead the Sheridan Bruins to a silver medal. This medal is the first at the national level in 19 years for an OCAA school in Women's Basketball. The fourth year guard from Sarnia averaged 16 points per game over the Bruins three games earning herself First Team CCAA Championship All-star recognition.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Costa Solanakis, Algonquin Volleyball

Playing an often over-looked position, Costa Solanakis of the Algonquin Thunder did his job of making his teammates look good better than most and was named as a second team Championship Tournament All-star at the CCAA Men's Volleyball Nationals in Alberta this week. Turning in consistent setting and defensive performances, the third year player led his team to a fourth place finish in the nation and showcased his outside hitter Ryan Debruyn well enough to earn a first team all-star nod. Solanakis was also named a championship allstar at the OCAA Championship tournament two weeks ago.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Landis Doyle, Humber Volleyball

After being named an All-Canadian at the Banquet of Champions at the CCAA National Championships in North Bay, Humber's Landis Doyle continued her dominant play on the court earning a CCAA nationa Championship second team Championship All-star award. Doyle led all blockers in the tournement, racking up nine blocks and also accumulated 30 kills from the middle positon. Doyle averaged 4.3 points per game, which ranked her fourth overall for the tournament.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Daviau Rodney, Humber Basketball

Humber guard Daviau Rodney was named the Championship MVP as he led the Hawks to OCAA Men's Basketball gold. Rodney scored a game high 22 points as the Hawks defeated the Niagara Knights in the semi-finals earning the right to take on the host Algonquin Thunder in the Final. The native of Queens, New York took his game to another level in the final scoring a game high 29 points, with 21 of those coming on a 7-11 shooting run from beyond the 3-point line as the Hawks defeated Algonquin 85-78. Rodney was named Player of the Game in the finals in addition to the MVP honour. At the awards banquet prior to the Tournament the 2nd year player was named to as a West 2nd team All-star.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Sarah Moxley, Sheridan Basketball

Sarah Moxley of the Sheridan Bruins turned in two solid days of basketball when it mattered the most to earn the OCAA BelairDirect Women's Basketball Championship Most Valuable Player award. Moxley, a 5'10 fourth year guard from Sarnia, Ontario led her team to their second consecutive Championship and will now represent Ontario at the CCAA National Championships in Quebec City.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Ryan Debruyn, Algonquin Volleyball

Ryan Debruyn was a force to be reckoned with in the OCAA Championship tournament and for his efforts was named the Championship MVP. Debruyn, a fourth year player finished the Championship match with 15 points of total offense and added another 17 kills and three digs to his totals in the semi-final against his team's arch rival Mohawk Mountaineers. The Ottawa native will now test his skills against what the best Canadian colleges has to offer as he leads his team to the CCAA National Championships where the last time the Thunder returned home with the bronze medal.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Michelle Overzet, Humber Volleyball

Michelle Overzet turned in an impressive Championship tournament for the Humber Hawks and was named the OCAA volleyball Championship MVP. She led her team in the gold medal match scoring with 18 points (15 kills, 3 blocks) to garner the honour. In her semi-final, she was also on fire scoring 16 points (11 kills, 5 blocks) enroute to being named the Player of the Game. Overzet and her teammates will now return to the CCAA National Championships in North Bay looking to strike gold for Ontario.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Raymond Wong, Humber Badminton

Raymond Wong of the Humber Hawks successfully defended his OCAA Badminton Championship title this past weekend at Georgian College, defeating George Brown's Dayvon Reid 2-0 in the Championship Final. Wong, the 2008 CCAA National Player of the Year advanced to the Championship Final after going 4-1 in pool play and turning up his game in the semi-finals with a 2-1 victory over his brother Mark. Raymond will now look to claim the CCAA National Championship title on his home court when Humber hosts the National Championship event.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Jody Carruthers, Cambrian Badminton

Jody Carruthers of the Cambrian Golden Shield dethroned Karen Ng (Georgian) in the OCAA Badminton Championship Finals with a thrilling 2-1 victory. Carruthers finished the pool play 4-1, only dropping sets to Ng when she lost 2-1. Rebounding in the playoffs, the Cambrian athlete strolled through her semi's in straight sets, before engaging in another battle with Ng in the Championship Final where she turned the tables and defeated her rival 2-1 to advance to the CCAA National Championships at Humber College.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Matt Fennell, Fanshawe Basketball

Matt Fennell played an important role in Fanshawe's two win this week helping put them position for a first round bye in the OCAA Men's Basketball playoffs. The 6'5 forward scored 17 points in the Falcons big 69-47 win over Niagara, jumping them in the standings in the process. The London native was at it again against Lambton as he scored 21 points leading the Falcons to a 94-54 win over the Lions. With the two wins, the Falcons control their own destiny in the OCAA West standings, requiring a win over Mohawk in their season finale to secure a first round bye.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Meagan McLellan, Georgian Volleyball

Meagan McLellan's record breaking play did not stop once the playoffs rolled around as she put down 22 kills, 5 blocks and 1 ace for 28 points in Georgian 3-1 playoff win over Fanshawe. The fifth-year senior middle had a record breaking season for the Grizzlies as she set the OCAA single season scoring record. McLellan finished the year with 248 kills, 34 aces, and 52 blocks for a 334 total points. Her numbers smashed the previous record held by Nipissing's Megan Stacey who had 308 points in 2004-2005. Georgian now advances in the OCAA Women's Volleyball playoffs to take on Humber on February 21st at 12pm.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Patrick Murray, Algoma Basketball

Algoma guard/forward Patrick Murray was instrumental in helping keep the Thunderbirds playoff hopes alive as they defeated the two teams (St. Clair and Lambton) directly ahead of them in the West standings. In their 72-67 win over St. Clair, Murray hit five three pointers while finishing the game with 27 points to lead the Thunderbirds to victory. The 6'4 Sault Ste. Marie native scored 13 points helping Algoma to 62-59 win over Lambton. With the two wins this week, Algoma now sits 10th in the OCAA rankings and have a hold on the last playoff spot in the West division.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Heather Murray, Fanshawe Volleyball

Heather Murray was on fire from the service line this week, burning her way into the OCAA Records books by tying Humber's Landis Doyle's record of 13 service aces in a match. The Seaforth, Ontario native matched the record in a 3-0 romp over the Lambton Lions. Against the Sheridan Bruins, the setter racked up another five aces, giving her 18 aces on the week.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Jordan Langley, Humber Volleyball

Rookie Humber Hawk leftside hitter Jordan Langley has burst on the men's volleyball scene this season and continues to post some impressive numbers. This past week, the Brampton native posted his first 20 kill game of the season, achieving the mark in his team's 3-1 victory over the Niagara Knights. He also added an ace and a block to the score sheet in the game. Three day's later, the 5'10 hitter added another 10 kills to his week's total as well as a service ace. Langley sits second on his team in numerous statistical categories including total points, kills and digs.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Mandi Doris, Durham Volleyball

Mandi Doris of the Durham Lords has had a quiet, but remarkable season blocking this year and with two solidgames at the net, has now earned the title of the OCAA All-Time Leading Blocker with 154 surpassing Niagara'sTracey Smith. Doris achieved the feat when she posted four block against the Fleming Knights on Tuesday and added to her totals on Friday when she rejected six attack attempts from Georgian Grizzlie players. Collecting an impressive 78 blocks this year, Doris has also broken the OCAA record for most blocks in a season.

Men's Athlete of the Week – David Akelaitis, Lambton Basketball

David Akelaitis of Lambton put together two strong performance this week to help lead the Lions to a pair of victories. In Lambton's 96-93 win over Mohawk, the 6'1 guard scored 27 for the Lions in the win. Akelaitis saved his best performance for the Sarnia squads 91-88 upset win over top ranked Fanshawe. The Toronto native was a dominate force for the Lions as he scored 32 second half points to finish with 40 on the night in the win. With the two wins Lambton makes an appearance back in the OCAA Men's Basketball rankings at number nine.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Natasha Thombs, Seneca Basketball

Seneca guard Natasha Thombs had a record breaking week in Women's Basketball. Thombs entered the week 59 points away from becoming the OCAA All-time career scoring leader. The Scarborough native wasted little time closing in on the OCAA All-time scoring record netting an OCAA single game record of 54 points against Fleming College, Peterborough. The fifth year senior did not stop there as she also became the OCAA Women's Career scoring leader as she scored 10 points in the Stings' 81-65 win over the St. Lawrence Vikings. The record was previously held by Melinda Coker of both Seneca and Mohawk Colleges with 1,115 points dating back to 1985. Thombs now sits alone in top spot with 1,121 points with four regular season games remaining.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Eric Smith, Durham Basketball

Eric Smith of Durham has been a key ingredient to the Lords current seven game winning streak. Over this past week, the Oshawa squad defeated Seneca, Cambrian and Algonquin. The Ajax native averaged 18.3 PPG and 12.6 RPG in the Lords three wins including a 30 point, 17 rebound night in their 95-73 win over Cambrian Golden Shield. Smith put up 18 points as the Lords handed the Algonquin Thunder their second loss of the season by a score of 81-77. The first year forward has recorded six double-doubles during the Lords seven game conference winning streak.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Cassandra Musungayi, Niagara Volleyball

Described as "a raw talent who is still learning the game," by her coach Kerby Bentley; Cassandra Musungayi of Niagara College has been a beast at the net in the 2008-09 season. Musungayi, a 6'3 middle from Hamilton, Ontario left nothing to chance in the record books, cleanly rejecting 13 attacking attempt in her team's 3-2 victory over Sheridan this week. Improving with each game and with another two years to hone her skills, Musungayi now becomes the sole holder of the record which now sits at lucky 13.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Ryan Debruyn, Algonquin Volleyball

The Thunder have added more fire power to their already impressive arsenal, adding fourth year veteran, Ryan Debruyn, to the roster. The 6'6 left side hitter has already wreaked havoc on the competition posting a 15 and an 11 point outing versus Cambrian and Boreal respectively. In his first appearance in the blue and white, Debruyn led a balanced force that upended UBC-Okanagon after being down two sets to none. The Ottawa native was named a member of the All-Tournament team after dropping a five set thriller to the Manitoba Bisons to finish fourth at the Florida tournament.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Sara Maybee, Lancers Basketball

The top performance of the weekend came from Loyalist guard Sara Maybee as she notched 44 points in the Lancers 68-55 win over Algonquin. The offensive outburst by the Belleville native is the highest point total in the OCAA so far this season. Maybee was not only an offensive force in the win, she also pulled down 11 rebounds and committed four steals on the defensive side of the ball.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Steve Pawelczyk, Mohawk Volleyball

In the Mountaineers game against Humber, Steven Pawelczyk, lead the charge by tallying up 20 kills along with one ace and four blocks for a season high 25 point night. Pawelczyk continued this trend in the following four games by racking up 51 kills and 67 points in the games played against Canadore, Nipissing, Sheridan and Niagara.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Rachel Niven, St. Lawrence Basketball

Rachel Niven led all scorers with 23 points helping St. Lawrence Kingston defeat Durham 61-54. In addition to her 23 points, Niven also grabbed seven rebounds to go along with her five steals. In the Vikings 78-61 win over George Brown, the Calgary native had 21 points, while dishing out 11 assists and pulling down 13 rebounds for a triple-double.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Charly Spurr , Algonquin Basketball

Charly Spurr of Algonquin scored 40 points in the Thunder's 90-54 win over Seneca. Spurr's 40 point outburst is the highest total in the OCAA so far this season. The third year guard from Lambrick Park currently sits third amongst the OCAA Scoring leaders with an average of 26 PPG helping the Thunder to an 8-1 record.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Meagan McLellan, Georgian Volleyball

Meagan, a fifth-year senior middle, led her team in scoring as the Grizzlies won both matches on the weekend. On Friday night, she had 19 points (13 kills, 4 blocks, 2 aces) in a 3-1 (25-22, 24-26, 25-17, 25-13) win over the La Cite Coyotes. Saturday afternoon, Meagan racked up 29 points (20 kills, 6 blocks, 3 aces) in a 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-17, 25-22) victory over the first place Algonquin Thunder. Georgian improved their record to 6-5 and play the George Brown Huskies on Wednesday night to complete the first semester of play.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Tony Duran, Fleming Basketball

Second year standout guard Tony Duran helped lead the Fleming Knights to a pair of wins this past weekend. Duran scored 23 points in the Knights 116-108 win over the previously unbeaten Algonquin Thunder. A night later, the Brampton native put on a shooting clinic as he hit 11 from behind the arc for 36 points helping the Knights defeat La Cite 112-95. Duran's 11 three pointers against les Coyetes fell one short of the record for three pointers in a game which he set last year but helped Fleming set the OCAA team record with 23. The two wins helped jolt the Knights in the OCAA rankings from seven to four.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Stella Fernandes, Seneca Volleyball

Stella Fernandes had her groove on this week as she ripped up the OCAA Women's Volleyball turning in three impressive and consistent statistical lines. In her opening game of the week, the fourth year outside hitter posted 13 kills, 16 digs and one stuff block in a 3-1 loss to Durham. Things heated up for the 5'6 player versus Cambrian as she downed 17 kills and added six aces and two blocks to her totals as well as six digs in a 3-1 victory. Game three on the week brought with it more of what Fernandes had been dolling out from the baseline versus Cambrian. Stella bombed five more aces in the 3-0 romp, while adding six kills and 11 digs to conclude her week's terror on East Region competition.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Ryan Talsma, Redeemer Volleyball

Third year standout Ryan Talsma from Redeemer was a dominant force for the Royals as they upset the Fanshawe Falcons 3-1. Talsma posted 18 kills, one stuff block and four serving aces to lead the Royals to victory. The win helped the Ancaster team jump two spots in the OCAA Men's volleyball rankings to be seated 6th in the province. Talsma will lead the Royals into action this week with a match up against the 4th ranked Mohawk Mountaineers.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Amy Hoskin, Loyalist Volleyball

Amy Hoskin of Loyalist College blocked lights out in the five set match between the Lancers of Loyalist and the Georgian Grizzlies. Hoskin's 11 blocks in the match elevated the previous record from 10, which was previously held by Michelle Van Berkel of Redeemer University College. Breaking this record also erased the final original record that stood in women's volleyball from when the game moved from side out scoring to rally scoring. Loyalist defeated the Grizzlies 3-2 (21-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19, 15-12) and now sit atop of the East Region as the only undefeated team in the division.

Men's Athlete of the Week – David Lambden Milliken, Humber Rugby

Rookie flanker David Lambden-Milliken and his dominant play throughout the game helped led the Humber Hawks to their second consecutive OCAA Men's Rugby Championship. The Hawks defeated the Fleming Knights 28-7 at Fletcher's Fields in Markham on November 8th to capture the provincial crown. Lambden-Milliken scored a try for the Hawks and was named Man of the Match for his outstanding play.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Will Beauge, Algonquin Men's Soccer

Will Beauge of the Algonquin Thunder was honoured as the CCAA National Player of the Year at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) Soccer All-Canadian banquet in Kamloops B.C. A third year striker, Will has been at the top of his game this season in the OCAA leading the Thunder with 13 goals in 11 games, including playoffs. Beauge led his team this past week to their fourth CCAA National Championship silver medal in five year, bookending Algonquin's National Championship title from 2006. Beauge also made school history by becoming the first Thunder player ever to be honoured with the award.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Dawn Martin, Schooner X-Country

OCAA Champion Dawn Martin of St. Lawrence College, Brockville crossed the line in third at the 2008 Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) Cross Country Running Open Championship to win a National bronze medal. Martin is the first OCAA women to medal at Nationals since Jutta Merilainen of Loyalist won silver in 2004. Her performance also helped the OCAA finish second as a conference at the event. The Schooner runner had an impressive season as she medaled in every event she ran in this year (three golds, one silver and one bronze).

Men's Athlete of the Week – Ryan Mallette, St. Lawrence Kingtson Rugby

Ryan Mallette has only been at St. Lawrence Kingston for one season and as fast as he arrived, he will be leaving upon his graduation this year. The 6'1 rookie from Harrowsmith has left his mark on the OCAA, helping the Vikings earn their first OCAA Division II Rugby Championship title in school history in their first season. Mallette was a force on the field during the championship final, scoring two tries in the match and earning the Man of the Match honours. Mallette made several key stops and used his athletic ability to break through several tackles leading to his scores.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Will Beauge, Algonquin Men's Soccer

Algonquin's third year standout, Will Beauge, showed why he was named the OCAA Men's Soccer Player of the Year as he scored two goals in the second half of the Championship game against Sheridan to help the Thunder win their 5th straight Men's soccer championship. Beauge was named the MVP of the tournament for his efforts. The outstanding play of Beauge has not gone unnoticed as Will has accepted an invitation to attending the MLS Combine Camp in North Carolina this December.

Women's Athlete of the Week – Connie Tamberello, Humber Women's Soccer

Connie Tamberello scored the insurance goal in Humber's 2-0 win over the Algonquin Thunder to secure the Hawk's first OCAA championship in six years. Tamberello's stellar play over the course of the tournament helped her earn Tournament MVP honours. The Maple native and her teammates will now travel to Thompson River University in BC to take part in the CCAA Soccer Championships.

Men's Athlete of the Week – David Sharatt, Conestoga Cross Country

David Sharatt of Conestoga won the OCAA Cross Country Championships to repeat as OCAA Champion. Sharatt finished the 8km course in 28 minutes and 19 seconds, 17 seconds faster the second place finisher. This win is bit different then last years as this time he also helped Conestoga win the Men's Team Championship. Sharratt is the first champion to repeat since 2003-2004 in addition to being the first Men's Individual and Team Champion in the same year since 2000-2001.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Dawn Martin, St. Lawrence College Brockville Cross Country

Dawn Martin capped off her impressive OCAA season by winning the gold medal at the OCAA Cross Country Championships. Martin finished the race in a time of 20 minutes and 55 seconds to set the course record. The win marks Martin's third win on the season to go along with a second place finish. The gold medal is the first for St. Lawrence College Brockville in cross country since 1998.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Will Beauge, Algonquin Soccer

Will Beauge scored all three goals for Algonquin to help the Thunder defeat Humber 3-0 and advance to the OCAA Men's Soccer Championships at Algonquin College. Beauge and his Algonquin teammate will be looking to win the fifth consecutive OCAA Men's Soccer gold medal as they take on St. Clair in the first round of the Championship. Beauge also tied with teammate Bruno Mota with nine goals for the East Scoring Champion title.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Candice Gatecliffe, St. Clair Fastball

Candice Gatecliffe turned in a stellar performance at the OCAA Women's Fastball championship to earn the MVP honours. In an early round match up versus Seneca, Gatecliffe went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. She also pitched seven innings, giving up only four hits and sitting down 10 enrout to being named the Player of the Game. In the first golf medal game Gatecliffe went 2-5 at the plate, driving in three. She backed up her stats in the second elimination game, driving in one of the two run for the Saints would need to claim their second championship title.

Men's Athlete of the Week – Graham Haigh, Humber Rugby

Graham Haigh of the Humber Hawks Rugby team was dominate in every aspect of the game in their 55-8 win over Georgian. Haigh came out of the gate flying as he scored three tries and kicked two converts for 19 points in the first half alone. In the second half, the first year player kicked three more converts to finish the game with 25 points. The performance helped move Haigh into first in the OCAA scoring race.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Annie Cadieux, La Cite Volleyball

Annie Cadieux of La Cite had a dominate game against George Brown to give La Cite their first win of the 2009-2009 Volleyball season. Cadieux served up nine aces to go along with her astounding 29 kills and two blocks to finish the game with 40 total points.

Men's Athletes of the Week – Mike Zizek, Humber Golf

Mike Zizek of Humber would not be denied his Championship title this year after settling for silver in 2007. The Humber College student lit up the course both days with rounds of 70 and 71 as he cruised to the individual OCAA Golf Championship gold medal by five strokes. Both of Zizek scores were the low rounds of the day. Zizek's score also helped the Hawks claim the Men's Overall title for the third straight year.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Danielle Dunlop, Niagara Golf

Danielle Dunlop became the first Niagara College woman golfer to claim the title after turning in rounds of 74 on day one and 77 on day two to earn the championship title by one stroke over defending champion Maggie Trainor of Humber. This win marks the third for Dunlop on the season as she also took home top prize at the Fanshawe Invitational and the Niagara Open.

Men's Athletes of the Week – Robert Malbasic, St. Clair Soccer

Last year's OCAA scoring champion Robert Malbasic found his scoring touch as he scored four goals in St. Clair's 6-5 win over Mohawk. Malbasic led the OCAA last year with 12 goals and is right in the hunt for the title again with six on the year already. The Saints had a successful week with wins over Lambton, Redeemer and Mohawk.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Katie Watts, Durham Soccer

Durham freshman Katie Watts had a week to remember as she scored five goals in the Lords 8-0 win over Loyalist. Watts also scored the only goal for Durham as they tied Seneca 1-1. With six goals in the past week, Watts has now tallied 16 goals this season, moving her two goals shy of the all-time OCAA single season scoring record of 18 goals. Laura Dixon of Durham College (2003) and Denise Morey of St. Lawrence College (1991) currently share the record. The Lords have four games remaining in the regular season for Watts to break the all-time record.

Men's Athletes of the Week – David Sharratt, Conestoga Cross Country

David Sharratt, the reigning OCAA Cross Country Champion won the first race of the year at the St. Lawrence Kingston Invitational at the Old Fort Henry course. Sharratt finished in a time of 27:15 to win the 8km race by five seconds. Sharratt hopes his success on this course can carry over as it is the site of the CCAA National Cross Country Championship on November 8th.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Danielle Dunlop, Niagara Women's Golf

At the first OCAA Golf tournament of the season hosted by Fanshawe College, Niagara's Danielle Dunlop dominated the women's side posting a round of 73 for the lowest women's score. Danielle's first place finish also helped Niagara win the Women's Team title. It's a busy week for OCAA golfers as they meet at Durham for the Durham Open on the 22nd, then the Niagara Invitational runs on the 24th.

Men's Athletes of the Week – Matt Jolie, Conestoga Rugby

Matt Jolie, a third year mechanical tech. student, was the driving and kicking force for the Conestoga Condors men's division 1 rugby team as he led his squad on the score board to a 31-13 victory over the Georgian Grizzlies in his teams season opener in Barrie. Jolie was credited with one try, three converts and one penalty kick in the victory. Conestoga currently sits a top the OCAA league and will face the Humber Hawks in their next league game.

Women's Athletes of the Week – Brittany Micucci, Durham Women's Soccer

Even the soggy conditions could not stop Brittany Micucci of the Durham Lords women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon as she recorded a hat trick in a 4-1 win over the St. Lawrence Vikings. The three goals were special for Micucci as she became the Durham Lords women's soccer all -time career scoring leader with 28 career goals. In her third year with the Lords, Micucci moves into sixth position on the OCAA career scoring list. Micucci also scored a goal versus Cambrian in their opening day 3-1 victory at home.
