MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
John Woldue, Redeemer
Fifth-year guard John Woldue (London, Ont.) was named player of the game for the victorious west team in a 120-91 decision over the east in the annual OCAA men's basketball all-star game. Woldue contributed a game-high 19 points in the victory. Woldue helped lead Redeemer to the post-season for the first time in program history, averaging 16.7 points per game.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JenJen Abella, Mohawk
Second-year guard JenJen Abella (Hamilton, Ont.) was named player of the game for the west in its 77-68 win over the east in the annual OCAA women's basketball all-star game held at Durham College. Abella added to her previous accolades of OCAA west defensive player of the year, OCAA first-team league all-star and OCAA championship all-star.

MEN'S CURLING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jason Whitehill, Fleming
Fifth-year skip Jason Whitehill (Peterborough, Ont.) led Fleming to its first-ever national medal and championship in curling. Named a championship all-star, Whitehill skipped the Knights to a 5-2 record in the round robin, advancing straight to the gold medal game where they defeated OCAA-rival Fanshawe 8-4. Whitehill was previously named an OCAA first-team championship all-star at provincials.

WOMEN'S CURLING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Rachelle Vink, Fanshawe
Third-year vice Rachelle Vink (Woodstock, Ont.) was named a championship all-star at nationals. Vink and the Fanshawe Falcons won their third Canadian women's curling gold medal in four seasons, outlasting NAIT 6-3 in the semifinal then OCAA-rival Humber 4-2 in the gold medal game. Vink proved to be a valuable addition for the Falcons, winning both provincials and nationals the same season.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mark Kaveckas, Mohawk
Mohawk fifth-year setter Mark Kaveckas (Barrie, Ont.) was named player of the game for the west in a four-set (25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 28-26) victory over their east rivals at the annual OCAA men's all-star game at Durham College. Kaveckas played every point for the west showcasing his first-team league all-star form, orchestrating what was an exceptional offensive display.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tanya Carriere, La Cité
La Cité second-year left side Tanya Carriere (Alfred, Ont.) was a star among stars, leading her east teammates to a 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-21) victory over the west at the annual OCAA women's all-star game. She was a standout in what turned out to be a defensive battle for an all-star showcase. Carriere led La Cité averaging 3.3 points per set during the regular season.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Vule Grujic, Humber
Third-year centre Vule Grujic (Serbia) was named championship MVP at nationals, leading Humber to its first Canadian championship since 2001. In three games, Grujic averaged 14 points and seven rebounds, shooting 49 per cent from the field. Grujic was named player of the game in Humber's 77-71 quarter-final win over Langara scoring 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ceejay Nofuente, Humber
Humber second-year point guard Ceejay Nofuente (Toronto) was named a championship first-team all-star at nationals. Nofuente heated up as the tournament went on, shooting 11-of-24 from three point range, including 5-of-5 in the bronze medal game. She averaged 13 points per game, and scored 37 points in two games on the final day. Humber finished fourth in the competition.

MEN'S INDOOR SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mike Aigbokie, Humber
Humber forward Mike Aigbokie (Mississauga, Ont.) was named championship MVP at men's indoor soccer provincials, leading the Hawks to a third OCAA championship in five seasons. Aigbokie was a key cog of a Hawks team that went a combined 6-0-2 at both regionals and provincials. Humber won five straight matches in regulation time to take the title.

WOMEN'S INDOOR SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Katrina Arnold, St. Clair
St. Clair's Katrina Arnold (Essex, Ont.) hauled in double honours being named championship MVP and top goalkeeper at women's indoor soccer provincials, leading the Saints to their first OCAA title. As the last line of defence, Arnold recorded three shutouts in the round robin, allowed no goals when the semi-final went to penalty kicks, and no goals in an overtime win in the gold medal match.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Cole Jordan, Niagara
First-year outside hitter Cole Jordan (London, Ont.) was named a first-team championship all-star at nationals. He was named player of the game in Niagara's opening four-set loss to St. Thomas, where he contributed 17 kills. In total, Jordan earned 58 kills over four matches as Niagara rebounded from its initial defeat to go 3-1, winning the bronze medal.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Thalia Hanniman, Humber
Fourth-year player Thalia Hanniman (Pembroke, Ont.) added more hardware to her mantel as she was named a first-team championship all-star at nationals. She was named player of the game twice as Humber went 2-2 to finish in fourth place in the eight-team tournament. Hanniman was previously named the OCAA player of the year, an all-Canadian and OCAA championship MVP.

MEN'S BADMINTON ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Adam Dong, Humber
Adam Dong (China), one half of Humber's mixed badminton team, went undefeated to win gold at nationals. Paired with Tracy Wong (Richmond Hill, Ont.), the duo did not lose a set at regionals, provincials and nationals, winning the finale 21-10, 21-17 over a team from PacWest. It is both Humber and OCAA's first mixed badminton national title since 2010.

Owen Kurvits, Redeemer
Owen Kurvits (Hamilton, Ont.) of Redeemer won the all-OCAA men's singles final at nationals, defeating Jesse Assing (Bethany, Ont.) of Humber 21-10, 9-21, 21-13. Kurvits avenged a three-set loss to Assing in the round robin. Kurvits is the first OCAA student-athlete since 1983 and first Redeemer badminton player to win a national men's singles title.

WOMEN'S BADMINTON ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Olivia Lei, Humber
OCAA and national women's player of the year Olivia Lei (China) of Humber went undefeated at nationals to win the women's singles championship. Lei dominated the competition this season, not losing a set in regionals, provincials and nationals. Lei is the first OCAA student-athlete since 1999 and first Humber badminton player ever to win the national women's singles title.

Tracy Wong, Humber
Tracy Wong (Richmond Hill, Ont.), one half of Humber's mixed badminton team, went undefeated to win gold at nationals. It is the fifth consecutive medal at nationals for Wong to go along with another gold in women's doubles, silver in mixed doubles, and silver and bronze in women's singles. Wong is also a five-time individual gold medalist at provincials.

Suzy Yan and Yan Zhou, Seneca
Seneca's Suzy Yan (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) and Yan Zhou (China) won national gold in women's doubles, going undefeated at the tournament. Both athletes were awarded bronze medals at previous nationals. It marks the second time in three years that a women's doubles team from OCAA has struck gold at nationals, and the first for Seneca since 1997.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Matt Fennell, Mohawk
OCAA player of the year Matt Fennell (London, Ont.) turned in a performance worthy of being named the championship MVP at provincials with 26 points, 11 rebounds and three assists in Mohawk's 84-74 win over Humber in the OCAA gold medal game. Fennell averaged 25.7 points in the three games Mohawk won. He is an all-Canadian for a second straight season.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mary Asare, Humber
Humber's Mary Asare (Brampton, Ont.) was named championship MVP at provincials. Asare played big minutes over Humber's three games totaling 23 points, including 11 in the gold medal game. Defensively she held her opponents in check, as Humber held opponents to just 53.0 points per game, just above its 51.3 points per game average during the regular season.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Donald Gibson, St. Lawrence-Kingston
Second-year forward Donald Gibson (Bahamas) scored well above his regular season average in St. Lawrence-Kingston's 90-83 road playoff victory at Redeemer. Averaging 15 points per game during the regular season, Gibson contributed a game-high 26 points along with six rebounds and one assist as the Vikings secured a berth into the OCAA championship.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alison Vlasman, Fanshawe
Second-year forward Alison Vlasman (Mount Elgin, Ont.) scored a team-high 11 points to lead Fanshawe to a 53-41 win at home over Seneca in an OCAA qualifier. Vlasman added seven rebounds and two blocks as the Falcons advanced to the OCAA championship. Vlasman topped her regular season averages of 7.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Steve Stone, Niagara
Fourth-year setter Steve Stone (St. Catharines, Ont.) was named championship MVP helping lead Niagara to its first OCAA championship in 11 seasons. Stone totaled 131 assists in three matches, averaging 10.1 per set. Prior to the tournament, Stone was named a second-team league all-star. Stone and the Knights are now headed to Charlottetown to compete at nationals.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Thalia Hanniman, Humber
Fourth-year player Thalia Hanniman (Pembroke, Ont.) was named championship MVP leading Humber to an unprecedented eighth consecutive provincial title. The OCAA player of the year averaged 20.5 points and 16.5 kills in both the semi-final and gold medal match. She also contributed three service aces in the three-set sweep of Durham in the finale.

MEN'S BADMINTON ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Owen Kurvits, Redeemer
Owen Kurvits (Hamilton, Ont.) of the Redeemer Royals successfully defended his men's singles title at the OCAA badminton championship. Kurvits, who was named the 2015 OCAA men's player of the year, went undefeated at the championship (7-0), not losing a set. Kurvits now looks to improve on last year's fourth-place finish when he competes at nationals.

WOMEN'S BADMINTON ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Olivia Lei, Humber
OCAA women's badminton player of the year Olivia Lei (China) of the Humber Hawks went undefeated (7-0) to win provincial gold in women's singles. Competing at her first OCAA championship, Lei won every match in straight sets. Lei joins the other gold and silver medalists from provincials in the quest for national gold in Halifax beginning on March 5.  

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lequan Hylton, Niagara
Needing a win to keep their post-season hopes alive, the Niagara Knights eliminated defending OCAA champion Sheridan 99-76. First-year point guard Lequan Hylton (Mississauga, Ont.) scored a season-high 17 points, while also adding a game-high eight assists. His back-to-back three pointers at the mid-way point of the fourth quarter sparked Niagara on a 16-4 run.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alexandra VanDyk, George Brown
Second-year guard Alexandra VanDyk (Brantford, Ont.) scored a season-best 12 points in George Brown's 55-28 victory over the Fleming Knights. VanDyk also contributed four steals, two rebounds and two assists. She also added a three-pointer. The Huskies end their regular season on a winning note, but will not advance to the post-season.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Josh Butler, Sheridan
Fourth-year right side Josh Butler (London, Ont.) led the Sheridan Bruins into the OCAA championship for the first time in two seasons. Butler contributed a match-high 19 points and 15 kills in Sheridan's 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-18) road victory over Canadore in the OCAA qualifying round. Butler also contributed a pair of blocks as well as two service aces.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Maddie Rae-White, Durham
Second-year middle Maddie Rae-White (Cobourg, Ont.) tallied a season-high 12 kills in Durham's thrilling 3-2 (22-25, 25-23, 27-25, 22-25, 15-11) victory at St. Clair in the OCAA qualifying round as the Lords advance to provincials for the third straight season. Rae-White also added two blocks and two service aces. She averaged 2.1 points per set during the regular season.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Felix Adjei, Seneca
Former OCAA player of the year Felix Adjei (Toronto) has been difficult to contain as of late, scoring over 30 points in back-to-back games in a pair of Seneca victories. Adjei scored a season-best 36 points while contributing nine rebounds and six assists in an 85-64 decision over Loyalist. He followed this up with 33 points and a dozen rebounds in a 88-77 win over George Brown.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kelley Nichols, Seneca
First-year guard Kelley Nichols (Lennoxville, Que.) scored a game-high 17 points in Seneca's 86-41 win over George Brown. Nichols did most of her damage beyond the arc, shooting 5-of-9 from three-point range. This followed her 14-point effort in a 53-45 win over Loyalist. Nichols has scored better than her 11.5 points per game average her last four games, all Seneca victories.

MEN'S CURLING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Duncan Janveau, Sault
First-year skip Duncan Janveau (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) led the Sault Cougars to their first mixed curling title since 1996. Janveau's rink trailed Humber 4-3 in the final end of the finale, but scored the two points they needed to pull out the gold. The Cougars were first in the round robin, going 3-1. Janveau was named an OCAA championship first-team all-star.

WOMEN'S CURLING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Shannon Kee, Fanshawe
Third-year skip Shannon Kee (Sarnia, Ont.) led the Fanshawe Falcons to a second straight women's curling championship. Kee guided the Falcons to a 6-1 record in the round robin, and pulled out a 7-6 semi-final victory over Mohawk in extra ends. Fanshawe prevailed 8-6 over Humber in the gold medal match. Kee was named an OCAA championship first-team all-star.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Josh Isaac, Algonquin
First-year outside hitter Josh Isaac (Ottawa) tallied a match-high 19 kills and 21 points in Algonquin's must-win 3-1 (25-19, 15-25, 25-18, 25-17) victory over George Brown, locking up a playoff berth in the east region. Isaac had a strong debut season with the Thunder, averaging a team-best 4.0 points per set. Algonquin visits Humber in the OCAA qualifying round crossover.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alixandra Burkart, Algonquin
Third-year middle Alixandra Burkart (Kenora, Ont.) recorded a match-high 18 points on 10 kills, six blocks and two service aces in Algonquin's must-win 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-9) sweep of George Brown. Burkart's 10 kills matched a season-high. The victory, combined with a pair of Loyalist losses, secured the sixth and final playoff spot for Algonquin in the east region.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Murphy Beya, Algonquin
Second-year forward Murphy Beya (Ottawa) shot 8-of-11 while adding a pair of free throws in Algonquin's 73-70 upset over Centennial. Beya's 19 points was the seventh time in eight games that he hit double figures in scoring. Beya was one rebound short of a double-double, and also contributed three steals and an assist.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mikayla Brennan, Loyalist
Second-year forward Mikayla Brennan (Shannonville, Ont.) scored a season-high 24 points in Loyalist's 63-47 victory over George Brown. Brennan also grabbed 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. She shot 67 percent going 10-of-15 while connecting for a pair of three-pointers.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kyle Weber, Fanshawe
Third-year player Kyle Weber (New Hamburg, Ont.) was a key contributer to a pair of Fanshawe victories. Weber recorded 12 points on a dozen kills in a four-set win over St. Clair. He followed this effort with nine kills and one service ace for 10 points in Fanshawe's straight sets sweep of Cambrian.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Allison Marshall, Georgian
Third-year middle Allison Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) earned a match-high 15 kills and 19 points as Georgian won the OCAA east regional championship with a four-set win over Canadore. Marshall also recorded a pair of service aces and two blocks in a winning cause. Georgian is 15-2 with one match remaining.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Akai Nettey, George Brown
Fifth-year guard Akai Nettey (Etobicoke, Ont.) led his team in scoring in two key victories in Ottawa. Nettey scored 24 points in a 76-73 win at Algonquin, then followed this up with 19 points in a 96-79 victory over La Cité. Nettey is averaging 18.2 points per game for a George Brown squad in the thick of a playoff race.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Melissa Ellis, Lambton
Second-year forward Melissa Ellis (Sarnia, Ont.) scored 14 points while adding 13 rebounds in Lambton's 64-53 upset over Sheridan. She scored another 21 points while grabbing 10 boards in a 62-54 loss to Humber. Ellis now has nine double-doubles this season, nearly averaging as many points per game (12.5) as rebounds (12.4).

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jorell Miller, Seneca
First-year setter Jorell Miller (Scarborough, Ont.) was in fine form in Seneca's 3-0 sweep of Loyalist. Miller earned 33 assists, with two of his teammates tallying 10 or more kills, and another coming within one of double digits. Miller helped Seneca end a two-game slide, putting the team back above the .500 mark at 8-7.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mackenzie Mills, Canadore
Third-year player Mackenzie Mills (North Bay, Ont.) recorded nine kills, two blocks and two aces for a season-best 13 points in Canadore's 3-1 win over La Cité. A day earlier, she contributed five kills and three blocks for eight points in a straight sets sweep of Algonquin. The two wins in Ottawa improved Canadore's record to 12-4.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Andrew Dawkins, St. Lawrence-Kingston
Fourth-year guard Andrew Dawkins (Brampton, Ont.) scored over 20 points in back-to-back road games as St. Lawrence increased its winning streak to eight games. Dawkins scored 21 points in a 73-72 win at Seneca, then contributed 23 in a 76-72 victory at George Brown. Dawkins shot over 53 per cent in both games.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Stef Hrymak, Mohawk
Second-year guard Stef Hrymak (Hamilton, Ont.) has hit double digits in scoring in 13 of 14 games this season as Mohawk increased its winning streak to 13. She totaled 36 points in back-to-back road wins at St. Clair and Lambton, including a trio of three-pointers in each game. Hrymak is averaging 16.2 points per game.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Eric Heidbuurt, Redeemer
Fourth-year right side Eric Heidbuurt (Waterdown, Ont.) earned a team-high 16 kills, three aces and two blocks totaling 21 points in Redeemer's 3-1 upset over Humber. He followed this effort with 31 points on 25 kills and six blocks in a five-set win over Conestoga. Heidbuurt is now second in the OCAA averaging 5.0 points per set.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Stephanie Bignell, Fanshawe
With her first block in a 3-1 loss to Sheridan, Fanshawe fifth-year middle Stephanie Bignell (Drayton, Ont.) became the OCAA all-time blocks leader. Bignell finished the match with a game-high seven blocks and now holds the OCAA record with 224 career blocks. She added 12 kills for a match-high 19 points.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Daniel Gordon, Fleming
Second-year guard Daniel Gordon (Scarborough, Ont.) became the first OCAA player in over three and a half seasons to score 50 points in a game in Fleming's 119-102 loss to Durham. Gordon has scored over 30 points six times this season and leads all OCAA east players with a 28.3 points per game average.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lindsay Moffatt, Redeemer
Second-year guard Lindsay Moffatt (Hamilton, Ont.) scored a combined 39 points in Redeemer's doubleheader sweep of Cambrian. Moffatt connected five times from three-point range, and has now hit double digits in scoring in 11 of 12 games this season. The two victories snapped Redeemer's four game losing streak.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Michel Leblanc, La Cité
La Cité first-year right side Michel Leblanc (Ottawa) combined for 35 points in home wins over Seneca and Georgian. Leblanc recorded a career-best 18 kills in a four-set win over Seneca, then followed this up with 16 kills and 17 points in a four-set victory over Georgian. La Cité put the breaks on a five-game losing skid.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Thalia Hanniman, Humber
Fourth-year player Thalia Hanniman (Pembroke, Ont.) posted back-to-back matches of 20 points or more as Humber improved to 13-0. Hanniman recorded 21 points in a four-set win over Sheridan, then earned a season-best 22 points in a five-set win over Cambrian. Hanniman totaled 33 kills, nine aces and a block in nine sets.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mike Costello, Canadore
Fourth-year point guard Mike Costello (North Bay, Ont.) scored a game-high 26 points, including five three-pointers, to lead Canadore to an 83-81 upset victory over Loyalist. Costello was 9-of-10 from the charity stripe and also contributed six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Canadore has won two straight.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mackenzie Merkley, Georgian
Fourth-year guard Mackenzie Merkley (Guelph, Ont.) was a clutch performer in Georgian's 56-52 win over Loyalist. Merkley drained a pair of three-pointers in the game's final minute to put Georgian in front for good. She ended the game with 14 points, the third straight game she has hit double digits in scoring.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jacob White, Fleming
Second-year right side Jacob White (Brockville, Ont.) contributed game-highs with 20 kills and 21 points to lead Fleming to an important four-set victory over Algonquin. White is among the league leaders averaging 4.5 points per set. With the win, Fleming moved into sole possession of second place in the east region.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jessica Broad, Durham
Fourth-year outside hitter Jessica Broad (Courtice, Ont.) led all players with 19 points in Durham's important four-set victory over Trent. The win pulled Durham in a tie for second place in the east standings. Broad has recorded 11 kills in back-to-back matches, including Durham's sweep of La Cité.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Calvin Turnbull, Redeemer
Calvin Turnbull's (Burlington, Ont.) seventh double-double of the season helped lift Redeemer to a 73-64 win over Niagara. The fifth-year forward scored a game-high 24 points to go with a dozen rebounds. He also added two steals. Turnbull ends 2014 eighth in league scoring averaging 20.3 points per game.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Courtney McPherson, Niagara
First-year forward Courtney McPherson (Welland, Ont.) scored a season-best 27 points in Niagara's 87-72 win over Redeemer, which ended a two-game losing streak. McPherson shot 78.6 per cent from the field and was two rebounds short of a double-double. She also contributed three steals.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Christian Zimmer, Trent
Fourth-year middle Christian Zimmer (Ingleside, Ont.) tallied a game-high 18 points on 14 kills, two service aces and a pair of blocks in Trent's four-set win over Loyalist. Zimmer has earned at least a dozen points in his last three matches, all Trent victories. The Excalibur are 5-4 to conclude the first half after a 5-13 mark last season.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Joelle Parnham, Sheridan

Fourth-year forward Muller Kalala (Ottawa) scored a season-high 31 points in Loyalist's 105-97 overtime win over George Brown. Kalala, who is averaging 15.2 points per game, also contributed three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Loyalist has won five straight with a chance to improve to 7-3 at Centennial on Dec. 3.

Second-year point guard Ceejay Nofuente (Toronto) was just two rebounds shy of a triple-double as Humber handed Fanshawe its first loss of the season, winning 68-63. Nofuente had an all-around great effort, scoring 13 points while contributing 11 assists, five steals as well as eight defensive rebounds.

Second-year outside hitter Erik Janssen (Hampton, Ont.) contributed a season-high 22 points on 20 kills and a pair of blocks as Durham outlasted Fleming 3-2 (25-15, 21-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-12). For Durham, it marked its eighth straight victory to begin the season. The Lords are the only undefeated team in OCAA.

Fifth-year point guard Felicia Mazerolle (Elliot Lake, Ont.) closed out the first half of the regular season with back-to-back games with over 20 points, as Algonquin improved to 8-0. Mazerolle scored 21 points in a 74-50 win over previously undefeated St. Lawrence-Kingston, then tallied 25 in a 73-46 victory over Loyalist.

The Fleming student-athlete is a two-time OCAA medalist finishing on top of the podium last month.

It ended a successful season for Webster, having won individual gold at provincials last month.

Fourth-year defender Hilda Chmait (Mississauga, Ont.) was named championship MVP, leading Seneca to its first OCAA women's soccer championship since 1995. Seneca was successful in keeping defending champion Algonquin off the scoreboard in the gold medal match, with the Sting winning 1-0.

Second-year player Rob Cooper (Belle River, Ont.) was named OCAA men's baseball championship MVP, getting a hit in all three games St. Clair played. Cooper went 5-for-10 for the tournament, scoring three times while driving in four RBI. He also hit a home run, and got the save in the gold medal game.

WOMEN'S GOLF ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lorelle Weavers, Niagara
Lorelle Weavers (Burlington, Ont.) is the first OCAA golfer to win a national women's individual gold medal since 2007. Weavers shot back-to-back rounds of 77 in the rain-shortened 36-hole tournament for a two-stroke victory. An all-Canadian, Weavers was the silver medalist at the OCAA championship.

Phil Assad, Algonquin
Fifth-year player Phil Assad (Ottawa) scored his first two tries of the regular season in Algonquin's 60-5 triumph over Loyalist. The victory clinched a post-season berth for the defending OCAA silver medalists, who now travel to Georgian for an all-important crossover playoff match.

First-year player Rebecca Matejin (Kitchener, Ont.) tied a single match OCAA record with five tries in Conestoga's 85-5 win over Mohawk. Matejin ended the regular season with 10 tries to lead the Condors. Conestoga is playoff bound as it visits defending champion Algonquin in the crossovers.

Sasa Vukoje, Durham
First-year forward Sasa Vukoje (Etobicoke, Ont.) scored the lone goal in Durham's 1-0 win over St. Clair in the OCAA quarter-finals, sending the Lords to the OCAA final four for the first time since 1999. Vukoje led the team with four goals in seven regular season matches. Durham has not lost when Vukoje has scored.

Alexandria Kastanis, Humber
Third-year forward Alexandria Kastanis (Richmond Hill, Ont.) scored a pair of goals in Humber's 3-0 quarter-final victory over Loyalist, advancing to the OCAA final four for a ninth straight season. Kastanis was the leading scorer on the Hawks during the regular season with 10 goals.

Alexa Georgiou (Windsor, Ont.) pitched every inning for St. Clair at the OCAA championship, en route to being named MVP. Georgiou went 3-0, striking out 20 batters in 21 innings of work while allowing just 14 hits and four walks. Her best performance came in the opener, a two-hitter resulting in a 1-0 win over Humber.

Humber fourth-year pitcher James Byrnes (Mississauga, Ont.) saved his best start of the regular season for last, throwing a perfect game in a 16-0 victory over Seneca. Byrnes struck out a season-high six batters of the 15 he faced, improving his record to 4-2. Byrnes now leads his Humber team into the OCAA championship.

Second-year back Jesse Leadbetter (Midland, Ont.) contributed a match-high nine points as Trent defeated crosstown rival Fleming 31-19, avenging an earlier loss back in September. Leadbetter scored a try and added two converts. Trent has won four straight, clinching first place in the east standings.

Third-year player Faruk Yahaya (Nigeria) scored both goals for Cambrian in its 2-1 upset win over Seneca in the OCAA qualifiers. Yahaya had no goals during the regular season, but came through with a pair in the opening eight minutes of the match, stunning host Seneca. Cambrian had just one win during the regular season.

Marisa Oliveira, Fanshawe
Third-year forward Marisa Oliveira (London, Ont.) scored seven goals in the regular season, but her overtime goal was the difference for Fanshawe in its 4-3 win over Conestoga in the OCAA qualifiers. Oliveira scored in the final minute of the second overtime, rescuing the Falcons from potential penalty kicks.

Krista Owczar, Seneca
Second-year player Krista Owczar (Peterborough, Ont.) ended her season on a high, going 4-for-4 in Seneca's 10-0 win over Mohawk. Owczar scored two runs, while driving in a pair. Owczar is the team leader with 14 RBI, and is fourth on the Sting with a .397 batting average. It was her second four-hit game of the year.

Seneca first-year pitcher Francisco Mata (Caracas, Venezuela) is finishing his season strong, allowing just one run in a complete game 5-1 victory over playoff-bound Durham. Mata gave up seven hits, struck out four while issuing two walks. Seneca has won two games this season, with Mata the winning pitcher in both contests.

MEN'S GOLF ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Michael Rizzetto, Mohawk
Michael Rizzetto (Brantford, Ont.) is the 2014 OCAA men's individual golf champion, leading the 54-hole tournament from start to finish. His rounds of 71, 72 and 74 gave him a one-stroke victory, and led Mohawk to a Division II title. Rizzetto is the first OCAA individual golf champion from Mohawk since Craig Patterson in 1973.

Adrienne D'Alessio, Humber
Adrienne D'Alessio (Toronto) won her second straight OCAA women's individual title, leading wire-to-wire for a 10-stroke victory. Her most memorable shot of the tournament was her hole-in-one on her opening swing of round two. D'Alessio becomes just the fourth women's golfer to defend her OCAA gold medal.

Third-year player James Innis (Collingwood, Ont.) scored 17 points in Conestoga's key 27-10 victory over Sheridan. Innis scored three tries, while adding one convert. Conestoga improved to 2-2-0, and is in full control of its playoff fate with two matches remaining against Mohawk and Georgian.

First-year fly-half Amanda Blair (Trenton, Ont.) made OCAA history in St. Lawrence-Kingston's 24-20 victory over Loyalist. Blair was successful on three penalty kicks, setting a new OCAA single match record. The previous record of two was held by multiple student-athletes. St. Lawrence won for the first time this season.

Fanshawe desperately needed a goal to extend its season, and one player delivered. Robert Mutambala-Mboko (London, Ont.) scored his second goal of the match late in regulation to lift Fanshawe to a 4-3 win over Mohawk, securing the sixth and final playoff position with the extra two points in the standings.

Kristen Larone, Loyalist
It was Kristen Larone's (Kemptville, Ont.) only goal of the regular season, but the most important for Loyalist. With the Lancers needing a win to extend their season, the second-year midfielder scored in the 75th minute to lift Loyalist to a 1-0 victory over Centennial, securing a playoff spot in the process.

Lauren Ruf, Conestoga
Third-year pitcher Lauren Ruf (Cambridge, Ont.) recorded two more wins to improve her win-loss record to an OCAA-best 9-0. She struck out six in a 3-0 win over Humber, then struck out nine in a 4-3 win over Durham. Ruf owns a stellar 1.45 earned run average, totaling 58 innings pitched in 10 games.

First-year pitcher/outfielder Andrew Murrell (Markham, Ont.) was instrumental in George Brown earning its first three wins of the season. Murrell struck out 10 batters in a 5-1 win over Seneca. He is just as strong at the plate, with a dozen hits in his last seven games. Murrell has a pair of seven-game hit streaks this season.

Michael Hunter, St. Lawrence-Kingston
Second-year scrum half Michael Hunter (Collingwood, Ont.) scored his first try in a Vikings uniform in St. Lawrence-Kingston's important 14-3 victory over Seneca. The win evened the season series between these clubs. Hunter scored two tries last season as a member of the Conestoga Condors.

She now has a least one try in all three of Seneca's matches this season, all victories. Carey was limited to just two tries last season. Seneca visits Humber on Oct. 3 in a battle of undefeated clubs.

MEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Khody Ellis, Sheridan
First-year midfielder Khody Ellis (Mississauga, Ont.) came through in the clutch, scoring in the 85th minute to steal a 1-1 draw against two-time defending national champion Humber, keeping Sheridan's undefeated season alive in the process. Just for good measure, Ellis scored three days later in a 4-1 win at Fanshawe.

WOMEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Melissa Harrison, Algonquin
Third-year defender and team captain Melissa Harrison (Burlington, Ont.) was sensational in Algonquin's 1-0 win over Seneca, a rematch of last year's OCAA gold medal match. Harrison is a key reason why Algonquin has not allowed a goal through six matches this season, a span of 540 minutes, or nine hours.

WOMEN'S SOFTBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ashley Black, Durham
Second-year pitcher Ashley Black (Waterloo, Ont.) threw a gem against first-place St. Clair, a complete-game four-hitter in Durham's 1-0 victory. Black also helped her own cause at the plate, scoring the winning run. She led all batters with three hits. Black owns a 2-1 record this season with three complete games.

MEN'S BASEBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ilija Bozinovski, Durham
Durham second-year hurler Ilija Bozinovski (Ajax, Ont.) pitched a complete game six-hitter in a 3-2 seven-inning victory that ended St. Clair's 17-game win streak in OCAA regular and post-season play. Bozinovski allowed just two earned runs, striking out five while walking three. Bozinovski is 3-0 this season.

MEN'S RUGBY ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Graham Abbott, Fleming
Fifth-year centre Graham Abbott's (Ameliasburgh, Ont.) 11 points were the different in Fleming's 21-10 victory over Algonquin. It was Fleming's first-ever win against Algonquin in men's rugby, and Algonquin's first regular season loss in two seasons. Abbott was successful on a pair of penalty kicks, as well as a try.

WOMEN'S RUGBY ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Brittney Whiting, Loyalist
First-year back Brittney Whiting (Trenton, Ont.) scored a game-high three tries in Loyalist's 43-36 win over St. Lawrence-Kingston. The victory ended Loyalist's nine-game winless drought, which spanned three seasons. Whiting is the team leader in points with 15 as a result of her hat trick.

MEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lewis Tuininga, Redeemer
Third-year striker Lewis Tuininga (Orillia, Ont.) scored two important goals this week. His first came in the 82nd minute to secure a 2-2 tie for Redeemer against defending national champion Humber. His second came against crosstown rival Mohawk, the difference in a 3-2 victory. Redeemer improved to 2-2-1.

WOMEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tiffany Johnson, Cambrian
Third-year forward Tiffany Johnson (Sudbury, Ont.) is doing her best to put the OCAA scoring race out of reach. After being shut out her first game, Johnson has scored 11 times in her last four matches, including six in consecutive days, both 5-1 victories at Fleming and St. Lawrence-Kingston. Cambrian has won four straight.

WOMEN'S SOFTBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Julia Catalano, Humber
Fifth-year third baseman Julia Catalano (Brampton, Ont.) went 4-for-5, including a triple, while driving in four runs in Humber's wild 15-11 win over Durham in extra innings. Catalano also scored twice, and improved her hit streak to four games. She leads all Hawks players with a .467 batting average.

MEN'S BASEBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Paul Lytwynec, Fanshawe
Shortstop Paul Lytwynec (London, Ont.) posted some impressive numbers as Fanshawe won three of four on a Toronto road swing. In the three victories, he went 8-for-10, scoring four times while driving in five RBI. In the lone loss, Lytwynec was held without a hit, but walked twice. He leads all OCAA players with 14 hits.

MEN'S RUGBY ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Robin Calamatta, Georgian
Fifth-year flanker Robin Calamatta (Erin, Ont.) scored two tries in Georgian's 33-24 victory over defending OCAA bronze medalist Conestoga. His two tries equals Calamatta's total for all of last season. With Conestoga already winning earlier in the week, Georgian's victory takes on greater importance.

WOMEN'S RUGBY ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kayla Cassibo, Fleming
First-year player Kayla Cassibo (Belleville, Ont.) used three different methods to score in Fleming's 24-0 win over St. Lawrence-Kingston in a rematch of last year's bronze medal match. Cassibo scored on a try, was successful on all three convert attempts and added a penalty kick for good measure totaling 14 points.

MEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Stefan Milidrag, St. Clair
First-year midfielder Stefan Milidrag (Windsor, Ont.) has already made a positive impact for the St. Clair Saints. The league leader in goals with five, he scored two goals against Mohawk in a 3-3 tie, then added two more in a 3-1 win over Fanshawe. The Saints are 2-0-1 with Milidrag scoring in each match.

WOMEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Megan Longpre, Conestoga
First-year forward Megan Longpre (Kitchener, Ont.) scored both goals in Conestoga's 2-0 win over Niagara. This followed a one-goal effort in a 3-1 win over Lambton. Conestoga has scored six goals this season, with Longpre accounting for half these totals. The Condors are at the top of the OCAA standings with a 2-0-1 record.

WOMEN'S SOFTBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Skyler Patteson, St. Clair
Second-year first baseman Skyler Patteson (Guelph, Ont.) hit a walk-off single against Durham in a 4-3 comeback victory in the first leg of a doubleheader sweep. St. Clair is on top of the OCAA standings with a 5-2 record, with Patteson earning at least one hit in each game. Patteson leads all OCAA players with 15 hits.

MEN'S BASEBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Chris Horwood, St. Clair
Reigning OCAA championship MVP Chris Horwood (Tecumseh, Ont.) has picked up where he left off last October. The third-year player has a four-game hit streak to start the season, batting .417 with four runs and four RBI. The defending OCAA champion St. Clair Saints are 4-0 to begin their title defence.

MEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Angel Angelov, Seneca
First-year midfielder Angel Angelov (Toronto) booted the game-winning goal in the final three minutes of regulation time to give the Seneca Sting a 2-1 road victory over Fleming, and two extra points in the standings. Seneca avenged a 3-0 loss against the same squad on home turf last season.

WOMEN'S SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kayla McPherson, Sheridan
Second-year striker Kayla McPherson (Brampton, Ont.) broke a 2-2 deadlock in the 88th minute to lift the Sheridan Bruins past Mohawk 3-2 for an important road victory. Fittingly, one of McPherson's four goals last season came in a 1-1 draw against Mohawk. McPherson was the team co-leader in goals in 2013.

WOMEN'S SOFTBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Courtney Lafleur, Fanshawe
It is a perfect start for Courtney Lafleur (LaSalle, Ont.) and her Fanshawe Falcons in women's softball. In the OCAA debut for both team and player, the outfielder went 5-for-5 in a doubleheader sweep of Mohawk, scoring eight runs while adding three RBI. She hit one double, and stole a base.
