First-year player Ashley McKenzie (Vars) scored three times as Algonquin went 2-1 in matches placed at Sheridan on Oct. 21. McKenzie scored twice in a 17-5 victory over St. Lawrence-Kingston, then added another in a 26-0 win over Conestoga. Overall, McKenzie scored 11 tries during the regular season. Algonquin secured fourth place in the standings, and now advance to OCAA provincials on Nov. 4.
