Fifth-year forward Francesca Pedulla (Richmond Hill) scored the opening three goals of the match as Seneca used this advantage to cruise to a 6-3 victory over Niagara in the OCAA crossovers. It was her third hat trick of the 2017 season, as Seneca clinched its spot in the upcoming OCAA provincial tournament. Pedulla scored 14 goals in 11 matches during the regular season to lead the Sting.
