First-year middle Xavier Demers (Wendover) capped off the first half of the regular season with a 19-point effort leading La Cité to a four-set victory over Canadore on Dec. 3. Demers tallied a match-high 17 kills and added a pair of service aces for good measure. Demers is among the OCAA leaders averaging 4.5 points per set in his rookie season. La Cité is currently in sixth place in the East Division with a mark of 4-5.
