Kyle Rooke was the fastest of 76 competitors at the Fanshawe Invitational men's cross country race last Saturday. His time of 26:25 was nearly a minute better than the second place finisher, Ricky Nepomuceno of St. Clair. Rooke improved his eight kilometre time by two minutes and 27 seconds at the same race last year, and by one minute and 54 seconds over his time at provincials at the same site in 2017, where he finished 21st overall. On the strength of three top-five finishers, the Mohawk men placed third overall at the event as a team.
