L'Abbe was the fastest of 68 competitors at the Seneca Invitational women's cross country race last Saturday. The second-year science in nursing major ran a six kilometre time of 24:24, sixteen seconds ahead of the second place finisher, reigning OCAA champion Janelle Hanna of Fanshawe. L'Abbe improved her time by four minutes and 34 seconds on the same course last season. OCAA cross country runners have one more tune-up race on Oct. 13 at Centennial College before racing at provincials on Oct. 27 at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
