Rooke capped off an undefeated OCAA cross country season, winning the men's individual gold medal in an eight kilometre time of 26:44.7, almost 14 seconds ahead of his closest competitor last Saturday at provincials. Rooke won all three lead-in races in 2018, including the Fanshawe, Seneca and Centennial Invitationals. Named to the OCAA All-Ontario team, Rooke will remain in Ontario for his next big race, the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Cross-Country Running National Championships at Seneca College King Campus on Nov. 10.
