Der Weer had a record-setting day on Sept. 14, combining to go 7-for-10 at the plate, including a pair of doubles, in a doubleheader sweep of Durham. The second baseman scored seven times, and drove in four runs. More importantly, Der Weer established a new OCAA single-game record becoming the first player to score five times in one game in Seneca's 18-17 victory. He was also part of another milestone, as the two teams combined for 35 runs, another new OCAA single-game record easily surpassing the old mark of 27. Seneca is 4-0 for the first time in program history.
