Buchanan was named Championship MVP of OCAA provincials, helping lift Humber to its first title since 2013. The third-year player picked up the win in an 11-1 outcome over Conestoga, allowing no runs over six innings of work, striking out four. She also added a triple, driving in a pair while scoring two times. As a designated hitter the following game against Durham she went 3-for-3, scoring a run in a 3-1 victory. In the championship finale against Durham, she added a single, scoring another run while pitching 3 1/3 innings in relief, striking out a pair. Humber won 3-2 in extra innings.
