This student-athlete has spent five seasons working at her craft as a libero and this past week led the Mohawk Mountaineers to a pair of impressive victories. It was Child's play on Hallowe'en that led Mohawk to a four-set win against Conestoga as she recorded 31 digs. She then added another 20 digs in a five-set win over Humber on Nov. 2. Child currently leads the league in digs averaging 5.53 per set. Mohawk has jumped out to a 3-0 start to begin the 2019-20 season, with a match against Niagara, last season's silver medalist, at home this Friday.
