The Humber Hawks made their 2021 OCAA men's rugby debut on Oct. 2, defeating their arch nemesis Sheridan Bruins in front of a raucous home crowd 36-6. Popal, a second-year fly-half, had a career game for the Hawks, scoring a match-high 16 points. The Hawks play their final home match of the shortened regular season this Saturday against the Georgian Grizzlies in a pre-Thanksgiving appetizer which is also rematch of a 2019 OCAA semi-final, won by Georgian 22-19. Like Humber, Georgian has yet to lose a game this season.
