In two pivotal late-season games, the first-year pitcher was stellar in a pair of starts against Seneca and Lambton. The right-hander threw a combined 10 1/3 innings while only surrendering three earned runs off of 13 hits and six walks, while striking out seven. Most importantly, Guardiero won both games and put the Huskies in a position to clinch a spot at this week's OCAA Men's Baseball Championship in Oshawa, Ont. George Brown's only appearance at provincials came in OCAA's inaugural men's baseball season back in 2013.
