The second-year forward scored George Brown's most important goal in the last eight years. In an OCAA playoff match against crosstown rival Centennial, Virelli stole the ball and fired a stunning strike over the Colts goalkeeper in the 88th minute to break a 1-1 deadlock. George Brown prevailed 2-1, which marked the program's first post-season win since it rejoined the OCAA in 2013. Virelli also recorded a team-high three shots on goal in the victory. The Huskies now visit the Fanshawe Falcons on Saturday with a berth to the OCAA championship on the line.
