Bill Carriere was head coach of the Fanshawe Falcons women's basketball team for seven seasons, beginning in 1987-88.

The Falcons found immediate success, winning the first of four OCAA championships (1987-88, 1988-89, 1991-92, and 1993-94) with Carriere as head coach. In three of those seasons, Bill was named the OCAA Coach of the Year as well as CCAA Coach of the Year in 1993-94. The Falcons narrowly missed out on another OCAA title in 1992-93, settling for the silver medal.

Over his seven seasons, Carriere's teams had a league record of 64 wins and 26 losses, good for a .711 winning percentage. Fanshawe won 10 or more games in a season four times under Carriere, going undefeated in 1993-94 with a 12-0 record. Fanshawe lost four or less games five separate occasions. The Falcons finished fourth at nationals in 1988-89.
