Jakob Van Dorp is one the most decorated athletes in Redeemer University College history.

Van Dorp, a cross country runner from 2003 to 2005, finished on the podium in each of the three OCAA cross country championships he competed in. Jakob earned a silver medal in his first two seasons while adding bronze to his collection in 2005.

At the national level, Van Dorp placed in the Top 10 at three CCAA championships, including fourth place finishes in 2003 and 2004. He placed eighth in 2005. At all three nationals Van Dorp competed in, the OCAA placed second among competing conferences.

In total, Jakob is a three-time member of the OCAA All-Ontario team; a two-time CCAA Academic All-Canadian; and a three-time Cross Country MVP of Redeemer University College. Following the 2005-06 varsity season, Van Dorp was named Redeemer's Athlete of the Year.
