Shane Bascoe was an OCAA League All-Star in each of his four seasons with the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team, and was named an All-Canadian on three occasions.

The Bruins won back-to-back OCAA championships in 1998 and 1999, with Bascoe being named Championship MVP in 1998. That same season, Bascoe led the Central Region in scoring averaging 21.5 points per game.

In 1999, Sheridan won bronze at CCAA nationals and Bascoe was named to the Championship All-Star team.

The OCAA's Male Athlete of the Year in 1999-2000, Bascoe is a member of the OCAA Men's Basketball All-Millennium team.
