Jonathan Bell played for the Algonquin Thunder from 2001-02 to 2002-03 before moving on to star with the St. Francis Xavier University X-men.

Known as an electrifying player who demonstrated a passion for the game, Jonathan was the OCAA scoring champion in his second season for the Thunder, finishing with a 27.4 points per game average.

Those who were fortunate enough to coach him have said Jonathan would get them anywhere between 15 and 20 points per game on his quickness and athleticism alone. His talents and efforts did not go unnoticed in his final season as he was selected as the OCAA men's basketball player of the year. He was also recognized on the national stage receiving the coveted all-Canadian award.

Jonathan graduated from St. Francis Xavier University and is presently the athletic director at Bedford Academy in Nova Scotia.
