Lisa Bertoncini began her career in archery at Mohawk College in 1975-76, and this proved to be the launching pad for national and international success.

In 1985, Bertoncini was inducted into both the Canadian Amateur Sports Hall of Fame and Brampton Sports Hall of Fame.
