Steve Blundy was the head coach of the Sheridan College men's hockey program from 1979 to 1984 and then from 1985 to 1992 Blundy's overall record of the Bruins was 128-84-6.

During his time as the head coach he brought home the OCAA provincial championship in the 1982-83 season and was named OCAA coach of the year in back-to-back years in the 1986-87 and 1987-88 seasons. Blundy also coached the women's team from 1976 to 1981.

Along with being a coach he was also a former player for Sheridan from 1968 to 1972, leading the team in scoring in the 1970-71 season. He was also the trainer for seven years for the Sheridan football team that won five eastern championships.
