One of the most decorated coaches in the history of Humber College Athletics, Ray Chateau served 12 seasons as head golf coach and provided the blueprint for building one of the nation's top collegiate programs.

Chateau's tenure was marked by consistency, highlighted by 10 CCAA national championships and 50 overall tournament victories. Against the top collegiate golfer's in Canada, his team's captured three RCGA University/College titles and placed on the podium an additional four times.

Several individuals have flourished under Chateau's watchful eye, as six of his players captured individual CCAA championships as well. Twenty-two of his student-athletes were named CCAA All-Canadians, including a record four in 2010.

His ability to develop talent and his teams' ability to perform did not go unnoticed. On six occasions, Chateau represented Canada as the head coach at the FISU World University Games. His Team Canada squads finished fourth in 2006 and fifth in 2010.

In 2012 Chateau was the recipient of the CCAA Coaching Excellence Award, becoming the first non-basketball or volleyball coach to receive the honour.
