As Humber's starting goaltender in the mid-1980s, Scott Cooper backstopped Humber to two consecutive provincial championships. In both years, Humber went on to win the silver medal at the CCAA championship.

Scott was an OCAA all-star in 1985-86, and then enjoyed his finest season in 1986-87 when he was an all-star, a member of the CCAA all-Canadian team, and Humber's Male Athlete of the Year.

Cooper has been inducted in the Humber Hall of Fame, and in 2002 had his jersey number retired.

Scott is a member of the OCAA Men's Hockey All-Millennium team.
