Bob Horvath was a member of the Fanshawe men's basketball team, beginning in 1976.

He captured his first of four OCAA medals his rookie season, earning silver before winning provincial championships his final three seasons with the Falcons. Bob led Fanshawe in scoring during the 1977-78 and 1978-79 campaigns, as the Falcons won their first-ever OCAA championship, the beginning of four straight titles. He was the OCAA Championship MVP in 1978, while earning OCAA Championship All-Star recognition in 1977, 1979 and 1980.

Bob also garnered success at nationals, being named a CCAA Championship All-Star in 1978. He won the national championship with the Falcons in his final season of 1980, and was recognized as Fanshawe's Male Athlete of the Year.
