Laurel Kostuk enjoyed an incredible career that saw her win two provincial and national gold medals in both of her two seasons as the vice of the Confederation College curling team. Kostuk was a CCAA all-star vice both years and was an OCAA all-star vice in 1989-90.

For her accomplishments, Kostuk was awarded the Confederation varsity curling co-MVP and City of Thunder Bay Distinguished Contribution Award in 1988-89 and 1989-90.

Prior to attending Confederation, Kostuk was a 1985-86 Saskatchewan junior champion and on the national scene earned fourth at the 1986 Canadian junior championships. Upon graduation, she continued her career and competed at the Saskatchewan Scott Ladies Provincial Championships in 1992.
