Sue Mileva broke onto the college badminton scene in 1997-98 following a successful junior career. In her first season with the Sting, Mileva upset the reigning player of the year in the championship final to win the gold medal. Coming off the exciting provincial championship, Mileva finished her season with a silver medal at the national championship.

During her sophomore season, Sue continued her success posting a record of 17-0 in championship play enroute to winning double gold at both the provincial and national championships. To this date, she remains the only OCAA badminton player to win a CCAA gold medal in women's singles. For her accomplishments, Mileva became the first badminton player to be named OCAA female athlete of the year.

Mileva capped off her career by becoming the first athlete to win three consecutive ladies single's titles. She was also recognized as the OCAA player of the year, CCAA player of the year and as a CCAA all-Canadian.

Mileva made Seneca College history collecting three consecutive athlete of the year awards. She was inducted into the Seneca Athletics Hall of Fame upon the completion of her career in 2000 and continues to fly over the competition as she became a pilot after her colligate career.
