As a member of the Fanshawe Falcons men's basketball team for four seasons, Emilio Rocca established himself as one of the premiere players in the OCAA. He was named an OCAA all-star in each of his four seasons and in 1985-86, he was chosen as a CCAA all-Canadian. In his final year at Fanshawe, Rocca led his Falcons to an OCAA silver medal.

Over his career, Rocca amassed 1,434 points and remains a top the list of OCAA all-time career scoring leaders. In his first year he was named team captain, a position he would maintain for all four seasons. In each of his four seasons, Rocca also earned the Fanshawe basketball MVP honour and team leading scorer honour.

For his achievement in basketball, Rocca was inducted into the Sarnia/Lambton Sports Hall of Fame and in 2000 he was honoured with a selection to the OCAA men's basketball all-millennium team.
