Rebecca "Becki" Rodin played as the starting setter in women's volleyball for four seasons at both Redeemer University College and Trent University.

Rodin has been one of Trent's best student athletes, exemplifying athletic excellence and leadership. She excelled as a setter, receiving praise from OCAA coaches around the league for her great hands, athletic ability, game sense and determination. Rodin's immense talent earned her recognition as an OCAA first- and second-team all-star (2004-05 and 2005-06), back-to-back OCAA all-star game MVPs, CCAA all-Canadian and the City of Peterborough Female Athlete of the Year award. The OCAA volleyball experience provided an opportunity for Becki to excel at an incredible level in the OCAA and beyond.

Her college awards include being her team's captain, the Trent women's volleyball team MVP, the Trent athlete of the week in November 2005 and earning the Trent University Varsity Athletic Award.

In lieu of her incredible athleticism, Rodin was invited to the Team Canada senior B identification camp in July of 2005. After completing her academics at Trent, Rodin successfully pursued her volleyball dreams and aspirations, signing a contract as a starting setter with VC Weert in the Netherlands. She went on to lead her professional club team to win the national championship with a 26-1 record.
