Dana Shutt has experienced incredible success in OCAA men's hockey, witnessed by his nine years of service as both a coach and player.

He reached the OCAA championship final every season he was involved with the Humber College program, winning seven gold medals. As a player, Dana was Humber's captain for two seasons.

During his tenure as a coach, he never lost an OCAA championship, and went on to win five more medals on the CCAA national stage. Dana was named OCAA coach of the year in his debut season in 1985-86, and again in 1988-89 when the Hawks had a perfect regular season record of 24-0-0.

Dana was behind the bench for 100 regular season victories, compared to just 16 losses. He had his number retired and is a member of Humber's varsity hall of fame.
