An OCAA East region scoring leader in the 2001-02 season, Dale Swift, was an essential part of the Fleming Knights men's basketball program in his three years as part of the program.

A first-team all-star in the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons, Swift netted a stellar 46 points in a game versus Algonquin College earning him OCAA athlete of the week honours and later the Fleming Knights male athlete of the year. He was also rewarded for his exceptional effort being named his team's MVP in both the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons.

After graduating Fleming, Swift took his game to Algonquin College where he would win a provincial championship and be named to the tournament all-star team. The team went on to finish fourth at the CCAA national championship and for his year long effort was named an OCAA league second-team all-star.
