Joanna Vitale was an integral part of the Humber College women's Soccer team from 1999 to 2002. During her tenure she was named an OCAA all-star on four occasions, a CCAA all-Canadian three times and led the OCAA in scoring each season she stepped on the pitch.

During her career, Vitale's accomplishments have earned her numerous honours including rewriting the record books as the OCAA's all-time leading scorer, netting 56 goals in her career. She was also named the CCAA women's soccer player of the year in 2001 and the OCAA female athlete of the year in the same season.

During Joanna's time with the Hawks, Humber was simply unbeatable, leading her team to three consecutive OCAA gold medals and adding two OCAA indoor soccer titles to her resume. In 2004, Joanna was inducted into the Humber College Hall of Fame.
