HAMILTON, Ont. – With the OCAA softball championship fast approaching, Durham College has some key games remaining to determine if they will finish first to third in the standings.
 
Tuesday night's sweep of the Mohawk Mountaineers put the Lords two points back of St. Clair for top sport in the league, with two games in hand. Humber is six points back of Durham and also has six games remaining.
 
Emily Hill (Ohsweken, Ont.) picked up the 8-3 win in the opening game of the night.
 
Melissa McKnight (Brampton, Ont.) was three-for-three with three singles and two walks. Ashley Black (Waterloo, Ont.) had two singles, while Sarah Seifried (Drayton, Ont.) had a double with two runs.
 
In the 15-1 win to cap off the night, Emily Glendinning (Plattsville, Ont.) earned the win.
 
McKnight's bat stayed hot as she was four-for-four with a triple, two doubles, a single and a walk. She also scored four runs out of the five times she reached base.
 
Thursday night the Lords are in Brampton against the Humber Hawks for a doubleheader. They then return home to host the St. Clair Saints on Saturday before their final game of the season on Sunday against the Fanshawe Falcons on Sunday.
 
First pitch on Saturday and Sunday is 1 p.m. at Durham Field.
