WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CAN'T CATCH COLTS
Cassidy Warren-Timpano had a career and team high 14 points but the Grizzlies fell 65-32 to the Colts.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted the Centennial Colts on Wednesday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie, ON.
It was a tough game for Georgian as they were not able to find their scoring touch.
Centennial took the lead early and the Grizzlies chased them the rest of the way as the Colts won 65-32.
A big bright spot for the Grizzlies was the play of rookie Cassidy Warren-Timpano. The Barrie native a career and team-high 14 points in over 35 minutes of play. She continues to develop quickly in her first year at Georgian.
Kalilla Reid (Scarborough) provided a spark leading all Georgian players off the bench with four points and four rebounds.
The Grizzlies will now get a break before opening up the second half of the season on Jan. 17 when they travel to face the Centennial Colts in a rematch in Scarborough, ON.
