OSHAWA, Ont. – Durham College women's soccer team won their second straight match on Saturday afternoon, 2-0 over the Centennial Colts.
Shalena Ackerman opened the scoring for Durham in the 30
th minute of the match with her first goal as a Lord. The 1-0 lead held into halftime.
In the second half, with Centennial pressing for the equalizer, Durham took advantage with
Sarah Balzia finding the back of the goal in the 90
th minute for her second tally of the season.
Jessica Prytulka earned her second cleansheet in goal.
Durham now sits in second place in the OCAA east division with a 2-0-1 record, two points back of Algonquin and one point ahead of St. Lawrence – Kingston. Their next conference match is Tuesday night on the road against the Loyalist Lancers in Belleville, Ont.
