Sting Fall to Grizzlies

The Seneca Sting (4-4) fell in straight sets to the Georgian Grizzlies (6-3) 25-14, 26-24, 25-17.

The Sting jumped out to an early 5-1 lead in the opening set, forcing a Grizzlies' timeout. The Grizzlies recovered to take an 18-10 lead before taking the first set.

In the second set, the Sting led 24-22, but were unable to close out the set, allowing four consecutive points to fall down two sets to none.

The Grizzlies controlled the third set from the start, rolling to an eight-point win.

Crystalyn O'Donnell led the Sting with 7 killsto go along with 3 aces, 5 digs and a pair of blocks. Kiana Miller recorded 6 kills and Taylor Butcher put together 20 assists, 4 aces and 13 digs, all team highs. Amy Sayaveth had 12 digs.

Kelsey Watson topped the Grizzlies with 7 kills. Quinn McGregor and Kathryn Marks each finished with 6 kills while McGregor added a team-high 10 digs. Sophia Clement had a match-high 22 assists.
