The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team travelled to Ottawa this past weekend as they took on the Algonquin Thunder.
After a slow start the Grizzlies had a better second half but were unable to catch the Thunder as they fell 60-43.
Dayna Snowdon (Kemptville) had a season high 14 point game for the Grizzlies while teammate Katrina Kerekesch (Dundas) returned to the lineup after missing Georgian's last two games and had seven points off the bench.
The women's team will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to take on the Centennial Colts at 6 p.m.
Georgian will play their next home game on Friday, Feb. 9 when they host the Loyalist Lancers at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the doors for $5. Students can pick up tickets for free in advance by visiting the Georgian Athletic Centre front desk.
