Huskies lead Lords from start to finish

TORONTO, Ont. – There were few positives for the Durham College men's basketball team on Wednesday night as the Lords fell 81-44 at George Brown's Casa Loma Campus.

Durham was unable to get anything going as they shot 25.4 per cent from the field and only 41.7 per cent from the free throw line. On the other end of the court the first-place Huskies were over 40 per cent from field and the line, but 17 per cent from behind the arc.

Similar to the women's program, the Lords have struggled as of late against the Huskies, having lost the last seven meetings with George Brown.

Currently one game under .500, Durham will look for redemption next Tuesday night at home against the Loyalist Lancers.
Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) was the lone Lords in double-digits on the night with 10 points, yet struggled, going 0-for-10 from behind the arc and 5-for-23 from the field.
Julian Hinckson Jr. (Ajax, Ont.) and Shamar Lewis (Toronto, Ont.) each finished with nine points.
• For the Huskies their leading scorer, Kingslee D'Silva, only finished with 16 points, but George Brown had a balanced attack with five scorers in double-digits.
  • D'Silva cause trouble defensively for George Brown, picking up a game-high three blocks and four steals, while pulling in seven boards.
• For the Lords, Craig Hanson (Ajax, Ont.) and Shamar Lewis each finished with a game-high nine rebounds.
