The Seneca Sting (12-1) defeated the George Brown Huskies (10-2) to sit atop the OCAA East Division with a 78-76 win.
The Sting came out flying from the opening tip, leading by as many as fourteen with 1:25 to go in the first quarter. After the first frame, the Sting led 25-14.
The Huskies closed the gap to seven at halftime as the Sting took a 41-34 lead into the break.
The second half saw the Huskies storm back and take a four-point lead with 2:11 remaining in the fourth quarter, but back-to-back three-pointers by Khalil Miller helped the Sting secure the victory.
Yusuf Ali had a game-high 27 points including seven three-pointers. Miller added 16 points and 13 rebounds along with 5 blocks. Nabil Ibrahim contributed 13 points and Trevor Hutton finished with 7 points and 10 rebounds.
DJ James led the Huskies with 23 points. De-Shaun Williams added 12 points and Adam Costanzo topped the team with 9 rebounds. Nine players scored for the Huskies and ten secured at least two rebounds.
