OSHAWA, Ont. – The No. 14 ranked Durham College men's soccer team earned a hard fought 3-0 victory over the St. Lawrence Vikings Saturday afternoon at Vaso's Field.
This closes out the season series against St. Lawrence with Durham earning 3-0 wins in both meetings.
Austin MacDonell of Greenwood, Ont. scored a pair of goals for the Lords, giving the HVAC major his first two of the season. MacDonell opened up scoring in the 18
th minute off a scramble followed by a goal nine minutes into the second half.

Bruce Cullen of Pickering, Ont. closed things out in the 78
th minute as he netted his third goal of the year.
The Lords fired 17 shots on target with Aaron Birch making 14 stops in the losing effort. Durham goalkeeper
Mark Kamstra (Newcastle, Ont.) stopped all four shots on target, all of which came in the second half. Kamstra has allowed just three goals against in the Lords opening four games.
Durham (3-1-0) sits in a tie for first place with Algonquin (3-0-0) but the Thunder have one game in hand. St. Lawrence falls to 1-3-0 on the year.
Cambrian (2-1-1) trails Durham by just two points and will pay a visit to Vaso's Field on Sunday at 2:15 p.m. The Golden Shield's offence is red hot having recorded back-to-back four-goal games including a 4-3 win over Fleming on Saturday.
