Women's rugby swept in all three games at St. Lawrence

KINGSTON, Ont. - For a second straight week, the Sheridan Bruins women's rugby team (2-3-1 OCAA) saw themselves fall into halftime deficiet's more often than not, but unlike a week prior they were unable to crawl out of the holes, suffering three defeats.

The Double-Blue opened the day by trailing Loyalist 10-0 at the half, and would fall 20-7, before dropping a 26-5 decision to Humber and a 22-14 defeat to Fleming, in which the Bruins led 14-12 at the interval.

Seneca will host the third match day on Sept. 30, with the Bruins set to play four games against Seneca, St. Lawrence, Algonquin, and Conestoga.

They also slid into a tie for sixth in the OCAA standings, after sitting second following the first match day.

The top four teams will qualify for the OCAA Championship, hosted by Fleming on Nov. 4.
