OSHAWA, Ont. – After rattling off three-straight wins, the Durham College men's basketball team had their run come to a close on Friday night.
 
Former Lord Ajahmo Clarke scored 27 points to lift the George Brown Huskies to an 86-73 victory at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
 
His team, who also won Durham College's David Stewart Tip-Off Tournament earlier this season, never trailed on Friday after starting with a 22-12 lead through one quarter.
 
The Lords only outscored George Brown in one quarter, the fourth, as the Huskies led the Lords 45-32 at halftime and 71-54 through three quarters. Durham outscored George Brown 19-15 in the final ten minutes.
 
Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) led Durham with 14 points, while Funsho Dimeji (Malton, Ont.) and Andre Barrow (Markham, Ont.) scored 12 and 11 respectively.
 
Helping Clarke lift the Huskies to victory was Kevin Mascoe, who scored 17 points. He was the only other George Brown player to break double-digits.
 
Next week the Lords are back in action as they had to Ottawa for their annual road trip to battle the Algonquin Thunder and La Cité Coyotes. Tip-off on Saturday against Algonquin is scheduled for 3 p.m.
