Box Score KINGSTON, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team had a strong defensive effort on Friday night as they beat the St. Lawrence Vikings 81-66 to pick up their fourth straight victory.

Durham (11-5) moves a half-game ahead of the idle Centennial Colts (10-5) for sole possession of third place in the OCAA east region standings. The win snapped the Vikings three-game win streak as they fall to 8-7, which includes a pair of losses to the Lords.
 
Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) and Julian Hinckson Jr. (Ajax, Ont.) shot the lights out combining to go 16-for-26, with half of their misses coming from three-point range. Halliburton ended up with 22 points, five rebounds and three assists while Hinckson Jr. had 18 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.
 
Andre Barrow (Ajax, Ont.) and Romareo Stephenson (Markham, Ont.) had 15 and 14 points respectively.
 
Durham scored the first points of the game and did not give up the lead as St. Lawrence could not solve the Lords' defensive unit. Durham opened up their biggest lead of the game in the third quarter as they were in front by 21 points.
 
The Lords will look to keep their win-streak alive on Tuesday night at home when they host the Georgian Grizzlies (8-6). In their previous meeting in Barrie, Durham beat Georgian 105-103 in overtime. Tip off at the CRWC is 8 p.m.
