GRIZZLIES DOMINANT AGAIN IN WIN OVER CENTENNIAL
Jake Edwards and the Georgian Grizzlies were strong again defeating the Centennial Colts 3-0 on Friday night at home.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball team hosted the Centennial Colts on Friday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie, ON.
Georgian was once again dominant.
The Grizzlies made quick work of the Colts winning in straight sets 3-0 by set scores of 25-11, 25-20 and 25-22.
Liam Gray (Barrie) had a particularly strong game highlighted in the first set where he rallied off nine consecutive serves that led to points for the Grizzlies and caused Centennial to burn both their timeouts.
He went on to post 28 assists in the contest while also recording two blocks and an ace.
Teammates Jake Edwards (Barrie) had seven kills, two blocks and an ace while Darien Haynes (Barrie) had six kills and a block.
Georgian improved their record to 12-1 on the season as they continue to lead the OCAA east division standings.
The Grizzlies continue a busy week at home when they host the Loyalist Lancers on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m.
