Box Score OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's basketball team had four players finish in double-digits as they doubled up the Georgian Grizzlies 74-32 on Tuesday night.
 
After the opening quarter, they had held the Grizz to three points and by half only 11. The only quarter Georgian competed well with Durham was the third when they were narrowly outscored 17-15.
 
Dekota Kirby (Markham, Ont.) led the Lords with 16 points and was the closest to a double-double finishing with eight rebounds.
 
Also finishing in double-digit scoring were Victoria Brody (Scarborough, Ont.), Maddie Dender (Ajax, Ont.) and Keisha Arthurworrey (Oshawa, Ont.) with 12, 10 and 10 points respectively.
 
McKenzie Howlett led Georgian in scoring with eight points, going 3-for-8 from the field and 2-for-2 from the line.
 
With only two games to play the Lords are now tied with the Centennial Colts and Algonquin Thunder for third in the OCAA east region. Coincidentally, Durham College can determine their playoff fate and where they will finish as their final games are against each team.
 
Durham hosts the Thunder on Saturday, Feb. 17 before facing the Centennial colts on the road on Tuesday, Feb. 20. At the February 17 game, the Lords will recognize their graduating seniors with a short ceremony after the final buzzer.
