OSHAWA, Ont. – Coming off a last second loss to Centennial on Wednesday, the Durham College men's basketball team was able to rebound earning an 87-70 victory over Fleming at home.

The win over the Knights wraps up conference play in 2016 for Durham as they enter the break with a 5-4 record, putting them in fifth place in the OCAA east region standings.
 
Funsho Dimeji (Malton, Ont.) had a big night for Durham as he dropped a game-high 22 points to go along with eight rebounds, six assists and a steal. Dimeji was perfect from the charity stripe converting on all ten attempts.
 
Despite leading wire-to-wire, Durham allowed Fleming to hang around most of the night as the Knights trailed by just three points late in the third quarter. The Lords would eventually run away with the win outscoring the Knights 26-16 over the final ten minutes.
 
Julian Hinckson Jr. (Ajax, Ont,) recorded a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards while Fioti Mabanza (Whitby, Ont.) had 18 points in 19 minutes of court time.
 
Trea Lawson (Whitby, Ont.) also had a big night on the boards as he had nine rebounds. Durham would have 51 rebounds and 12 second chance points compared to 39 boards and two second chance points for the Knights.
 
Jake Buchan and Taylor Robinson had 20 points apiece in the loss for Fleming.
 
Durham's next action will be in the new year when they head to Toronto for the annual George Brown New Year's Classic.
