Women's volleyball fall to Niagara

WELLAND, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's volleyball team (-) nearly matched Niagara in every statisical category with one glaring exception, committing 12 more service errors, and it proved costly in a 3-1 loss.

The two sides split the first two sets, with Niagara taking the opener 25-19, while Sheridan had a hard-fought victory in set two, 28-26.

The match turned in set three, with Niagara hanging on a for tight 25-23 win.

With a close loss putting them in a 2-1 hole, momentum swung away from the Double-Blue and they were closed out 25-16 in the fourth. 

Taylor Ley notched a season-high 19 points (16 kills, two aces, one block), while Rachel Abrahams was also in double figures with 15 points (11 kills, four aces).

Stacey Gregorini posted a season-high of her own, with 17 digs. 

The club will close out the first half of their schedule next weekend, when they host Boreal (Dec. 2, 4pm) and Cambrian (Dec. 3, 12pm).
