The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted the Seneca Sting on Friday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The young Georgian squad found themselves a tough opponent in the Sting, whose defence frustrated the Grizzlies.
The Sting limited the Grizzlies to their lowest point total in nearly a calendar year as Seneca won 59-34.
McKenzie Howlett (Barrie) led the Grizzlies with nine points while Jessica Stockdale (Barrie) had five points and led the team with seven rebounds.
Georgian will head out on the road next weekend for an important pair of games against the St. Lawrence Vikings and Loyalist Lancers.
The Grizzlies will play their next home game on Tuesday, Nov. 7 when they face the Durham Lords at 6 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre. Tickets are available at the door for the game for $5.
