SCARBOROUGH, Ont. - The Durham College men's basketball team claimed their fourth consecutive victory with a 78-55 win over the Centennial Colts on Friday night in Scarborough.
The win lifts the Lords record to 8-5 on the season, placing them in a tie for third in the OCAA east division with the Algonquin Thunder.
After a tightly contested first half which saw the Lords trailing by one point at the break, the Lords stormed back in the second half outscoring the Colts 44-20. Highlighting this second half dominance was a strong defensive third quarter in which Durham held Centennial to just seven points on 11 per cent shooting from the field. Meanwhile, the Lords win was never in question as Durham closed out the game with 27 points in the fourth quarter, led by 10 points in the final frame from the returning

Durham now has a full week to prepare for their next game when they welcome the St. Lawrence Vikings to the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre on Friday, Jan. 25. The home contest will also serve as Durham's annual Bell Let's Talk game in support of the mental health initiative. • Huggins and team scoring leader
Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) both recorded a game-high 20 points, with Halliburton adding six assists and two steals.
• After claiming OCAA star of the week and CCAA athlete of the week honours,
Julian Hinckson Jr. (Ajax, Ont.) continued to showcase his all-around ability with a 14-point performance on the road.
• Carlo Pantaleon and Khaleel Sutherland each registered a team-high nine points for Centennial.

Shamar Lewis (Toronto, Ont.), and
Craig Hanson (Ajax, Ont.) all recorded six rebounds on the night
• Hinckson Jr. also notched three steal and two blocks, while Hanson collected three steals of his own on the defensive end.
• Ian Francis topped the Colts with nine rebounds, while four others finished the evening with five.
