HUSKIES FALL TO HUMBER

The men's baseball team dropped both games to the Humber Hawks on Wednesday (Sept. 13) night.

Game 1: George Brown 2, Humber 5

Starting pitcher Finlay Butler did what he could for the Huskies, going six innings while surrendering five errored runs on nine hits and four walks.

First-year outfielder Marcus Herback and first-year third baseman Tom Edwards Gireau drove in the runs in the loss.

Game 2: George Brown 6, Humber 9

They dug themselves a hole early, trailing 9-0, nothing after four innings. The Huskies scored five runs in the top of the fifth but couldn't put together much offence afterwards.

Nick Manoukarakis, Noah Case, Peteco Marshall and Patrick Jannetta all drove in a run in the game.

Second-year pitcher Hayden Wesseling got the start for the Huskies. He surrendered eight runs off six hits and two walks in two innings of work.
