NORTH YORK, Ont. – The Durham College men's volleyball team will have to wait until at least next week for their second conference win after being swept by the Seneca Sting on Wednesday night.
A late attempt at a comeback in the first set came up short for the Lords, who were continuously coming from behind each set. Their second set was an improvement and a past the halfway point of the set a Lords run forced a Sting timeout, but Seneca eventually held on for a 25-20 win.
The Sting won the third 25-18 to take the match 3-0.
Next week the Lords will be in tough against the second-place Georgian Grizzlies. First serve in their road match in Barrie is slated for 8 p.m.

Lucas Pichl (Cobourg, Ont.) had a team-high nine points, finishing with seven kills.

James Hirt (Scarborough, Ont.) led the Lords with two blocks, while
Caleb Brinkman (Colborne, Ont.) had a team-high two aces.
• Seneca's Dilshan Subasinghe had a match-high 12 kills and 14 points.

Kyler Woodburne (Bowmanville, Ont.) led the defensive effort with eight digs, while also running the offence with 20 assists.
• Richard Ngo had 12 digs in the match, while the Sting's 40 kills were mainly setup by Savino Marques' 35 assists.
